Inter-American Development Bank in Uruguay, a high-rise building

Gran Hotel Colon

The historic restoration of Gran Hotel Colon in Montevideo, Uruguay, involved custom stucco, ironwork, and detailed reproduction to comply with the Grade IV historical classification of the building. Grade IV is the highest possible classification by Uruguay's National Historical and Cultural Commission. We also converted the 21,000 sq ft. interior, originally designed for hospitality use, into commercial and retail spaces. The property now features 60 work spaces and a rooftop cafe.
